What I do not understand is that no one can tell me what to do when a landline is not offered where I live. I have a flip phone for emergencies and if I need to call someone to fix something only. I do not have a choice nor does anyone else have any suggestions. Satellite phones are just as bad so that is out too. We do not have hardwired internet where we live and the small wireless router we use by straight talk cannot be hardwired and no one has any suggestions to replace that either. In order to work for home I have to have internet to bring an income in. I am open to suggestions but no one can seem to find anything that works where I live. (mid Michigan in the country 10 minutes out of town)

In the UK we have no option - they have removed all the old copper lines. I don’t know of an alternative thats not harmful - if we bring in broadband we can have a VOI phone attached….but if you switch the router off at night you are left without any form of communication.
I have this problem with the router too. several times have caught (the telecom company?) switching the wired modem wifi back ON remotely and without my consent. But if I unplug the router, no way to get even messages, for that I thought the cell, when switched off almost all the time, was better, but maybe there is a similar VOIP solution for a landline? Genevieve - actually (at least with comcast) you can just get a router that has no wireless capabilities, so when their system updates (which could be as often as every other night at times according to what a company technician told me back in 2018) the router can't automatically be defaulted back to wireless. I got an Arris router, model TM822G in 2018, still works fine and still on amazon last i checked. It also works for my VOIP phone since there are no copper landlines in this dwelling. (i actually don't think they are trying to harrass you; it's just that mainstream tech is set up so that everything is default wireless). Another option if your internet provider is not compatible with a wireless-free router (there are probably other such routers you could find) is to heavily shield your router. On the EMF Center website, https://emfcenter.com they have some info about making a router "burrito" to shield.

I had one in 2002, not since. But perhaps I've done more harm. I've connected everybody I know in a radius of 20 miles to a wireless network. You're pushing me toward a thing I've been wanting to do. Setting people up with one fibre for a neighborhood and connecting them all with some less terrible technology than wifi. But you haven't mentioned that our computers' cpu is about the same frequency as wifi but much stronger. I guess it's more of a clean sine wave than the wifi which only uses the sine as a carrier for the bits. Do you have data regarding the CPU's emissions? I had a client who is electro-sensitive. I put a fibre router in her house and turned the wifi off. I saw the first night that she turned it off, was preventing her from sleeping. I was thinking that it was the cpu of the device which bothered her. The next morning I went to the dump and found a broken microwave oven. I went to her house and put the device inside of the microwave oven and after that she had no problem sleeping. Could have been psychological, but I don't think so. When I first heard her speak of her sensitivity, I tested her to make sure it wasn't b.s. With her back turned, she knew when I turned on or off a device which permitted me to do so silently.
"Testing" someone to see if it's bs works sometimes (depending on the type of exposure and their sensitivity) but often it doesn't. That is because of the delayed reaction - like when you are overexposed to the sun, the sunburn does not show up until later. With some types of radiofrequency (RF) exposures, i am extremely messed up immediately, but even with these it gets worse for about 2 hours, then begins to diminish. With other exposures, i think i am doing just fine, and then a half hour later the bad effects begin and get worse for a couple of hours. The effect of bad exposures can last 20 hours for me - for some people it can be much longer (like the people microwaved at some of the embassies). Ask Arthur.

In the UK we have no option - they have removed all the old copper lines. I don’t know of an alternative thats not harmful - if we bring in broadband we can have a VOI phone attached….but if you switch the router off at night you are left without any form of communication.
I got our landline renewed .. they allow some in remove places .. you can have VOIP with a battery backup and have the router wired.

I have this problem with the router too. several times have caught (the telecom company?) switching the wired modem wifi back ON remotely and without my consent. But if I unplug the router, no way to get even messages, for that I thought the cell, when switched off almost all the time, was better, but maybe there is a similar VOIP solution for a landline? Anyone?
Genevieve - actually (at least with comcast) you can just get a router that has no wireless capabilities, so when their system updates (which could be as often as every other night at times according to what a company technician told me back in 2018) the router can't automatically be defaulted back to wireless. I got an Arris router, model TM822G in 2018, still works fine and still on amazon last i checked. It also works for my VOIP phone since there are no copper landlines in this dwelling. (i actually don't think they are trying to harrass you; it's just that mainstream tech is set up so that everything is default wireless). Another option if your internet provider is not compatible with a wireless-free router (there are probably other such routers you could find) is to heavily shield your router. On the EMF Center website, https://emfcenter.com they have some info about making a router "burrito" to shield.

Answer is obviously to hire a hacker to dismantle router box and disconnect that feature..if they have a program that indicates it's not really connecting when they switch it and harass you, perhaps connecting that wire to a phony contact point with similar features would throw them off and then pass their internal test as alerting them to a bunch of disconnects by hacker less desirable although I doubt they can do anything about it and one could deny it,etc...check internals diagram online of model,find location of internal switch if possible,take out yourself or hire nerd.THEN PLEASE TELL US HOW YOU DID IT AS WE ALL FACE THIS HUGE ISSUE OBVIOUSLY! I had one in 2002, not since. But perhaps I've done more harm. I've connected everybody I know in a radius of 20 miles to a wireless network. You're pushing me toward a thing I've been wanting to do. Setting people up with one fibre for a neighborhood and connecting them all with some less terrible technology than wifi. But you haven't mentioned that our computers' cpu is about the same frequency as wifi but much stronger. I guess it's more of a clean sine wave than the wifi which only uses the sine as a carrier for the bits. Do you have data regarding the CPU's emissions? I had a client who is electro-sensitive. I put a fibre router in her house and turned the wifi off. I saw the first night that she turned it off, was preventing her from sleeping. I was thinking that it was the cpu of the device which bothered her. The next morning I went to the dump and found a broken microwave oven. I went to her house and put the device inside of the microwave oven and after that she had no problem sleeping. Could have been psychological, but I don't think so. When I first heard her speak of her sensitivity, I tested her to make sure it wasn't b.s. With her back turned, she knew when I turned on or off a device which permitted me to do so silently.
"Testing" someone to see if it's bs works sometimes (depending on the type of exposure and their sensitivity) but often it doesn't. That is because of the delayed reaction - like when you are overexposed to the sun, the sunburn does not show up until later. With some types of radiofrequency (RF) exposures, i am extremely messed up immediately, but even with these it gets worse for about 2 hours, then begins to diminish. With other exposures, i think i am doing just fine, and then a half hour later the bad effects begin and get worse for a couple of hours. The effect of bad exposures can last 20 hours for me - for some people it can be much longer (like the people microwaved at some of the embassies). Ask Arthur.
Plus, truthfully, testing a sensitive person with RF is actually torture. There is no way i would willingly allow someone to "test" me. People like me just have to avoid most people, their houses, businesses and events due to all of the wireless devices people now carry, wear or have installed.

If you can get a neighborhood or 2 hooked up with fibre and Ethernet cables and solve problems it's spreadable only if you push directions and results clearly and hard and with payoffs preferably to first 5 or so communitys who try it ie free equipment and such with Go fund me type orgs ETC...no time to lose..
Other idea I have is frequency transfer devices where signal from tower at 3 g to 6 g is transfered to less toxic 1 g ie 1-30 mgh mgz at a transfer tower near homes..at that level almost no ill effects.Does that tech exist,yes it does I believe with hearing aids that connect somehow by app where 1-20 mghz connects to 900 MHz or 2.4 g..I could be wrong,but both frequencies are in operation at least with like half hearing AIDS to be sure.
